Such is the case for Massimo Clerico's Ca' du Leria 2018, a sublime bottling from Lessona's finest producer! Made from a single hectare vineyard of ancient sandy marine soils in Anto Piemonte's cool climate, the wine shows darker tones this vintage, with a rustic core and firm acidity commanding attention. Ripe cherry, plum fruit, mocha, spice, and licorice notes are all kicked up in this decidedly exuberant wine. Think "Baby Barolo," the Ca' du Leria 2018 is the perfect pairing for grilled meats, pasta, and especially woodfired pizza!
