Barossa is the birthplace of Shiraz, and the top spot in Southern Australia where all the best wines are from. It's home to huge names like Penfolds Grange, Elderton Command and Two Hands, selling for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. A few months ago, our expert buyers found a hidden gem from the Burge Family who have been making wines in Australia for over 150 years. Crafted from estate vineyards in Southern Barossa, this plush, elegant Shiraz has huge aromatics of dark cherries and blackberries. Fine tannins and cedar notes are added with 10-18 months in American oak.
"Made in a fruit forward, easy drinking style, the Corryton Burge Shiraz features bright raspberry and cherry fruit with a medium body and subtle hints of herb and spices with firm tannins and nice freshness on the long finish." The Wine Buyer, 91 Points
