The pinnacle of sub $20 California Chardonnay is Cambria Katherine's Vineyard! Vineyard specific and estate grown, Katherine's is named after owner Barbara Banke's (of Kendall-Jackson fame) eldest daughter. Comprised of both old clone Chardonnay and cutting-edge profiles, each of the 34 blocks is farmed on an individual basis and the expression from each block is blended to create a beautiful expression of the Santa Maria Valley. Bright fruit notes and spice aromas are combined with citrus, pineapple, white peach and apple flavors which carry through the mid-palate onto the lengthy finish. Antonio Galloni rates this 94 Points in back-to-back vintages, and The Wine Spectator included Katherine's Vineyard in their 2021 Top Value Wines.
